is there a way to convert the front wheels on a Super A to a traditional 5 lug setup instead of the 3 point open wheel that originally came with the tractor?

Doug, If your really set on changine to the pressed steel wheels the hubs off a 140 will fit your super A.

I have seen a Farmall A with 5 lug hubs and wheels, and the guy told me they were taken from a Chevrolet Camaro. He said it was a perfect fit on the spindles. I haven't tried it so I can't verify this is true. Good luck!

I beleive this change would also de-value your tractor. I bought one last year that had been passed over by many others buyers because they did not like the added expense to return the wheels and tires to original. I spent almost $400 to get it back right.

Doug, I would think the only way to change over to that type of arrangement, is to eliminate the standard hub and try to adapt new hubs to your existing spindles. Whatever hub you decide on will have to work with your existing spindle bearings. Wondering why you would want to go through all of that? If your hub and clamps are working properly you shouldnt have any problems.
