I have replaced the pump and relief valve on my 1206. I have also checked the ball valve on each remote stack. I am still unable to lift the empty bucket of my loader at low rpm.
Any Ideas??

Kansas I don't thing the pressure should be 2000 PSI but it will be what is stamped on the relief valve you put in at least they use to be stamped.

2000 was stamped on the old relief valve that I replaced. The new valve didn't have a number on it but was a Case IH part so I'm fairly sure it was correct.

What couplers are you using? Worn tips on the male or female can cause restriction. Next most common problem is the pump housing mounting gskt. blown.

Kansas the 1206 should have 1600 PSI the book will say at rated load RPM but you should get it at much less say 1000 RPM if everything is good should have 12 Gal per min. Did you check the load valve I think you are the one I posted that for and for a leak in the back. The pump mount has a hex plug for testing pump. Email me I should be able to help.

thanks for the advise. I think a pressure gauge is next. My reliefe valve is new. The load valves on the remote stack looked good.

How do you know your pressure is not adequate? Have you measured it with a high pressure gauge? What is the spec? I'm a blue guy and blue uses 2500 psig, but on this site, I have learned that some red and maybe others use lower pressures like 400 or 700.

I think you need to find out the spec, then get into the high press line with a hi press gauge, read the press at low, mid and high rpm's and then ask for help. You could have spec pressure and your problem is piston seals in your lift. Happens to blue much more often than pump problems.

Additionally, if there is air in the system, air compresses whereas hyd fluid doesn't. Gotta blead the air out.

On blue there is a plug on top of the pump you crack, with the engine idling, and let it go until a solid stream of fluid comes out, then lock down.

post back,.

spec calls for 2000 lb pressure. I do not have a pressure tester yet... may need to do that. It is unlikely that there is a prob w/ the loader as I just removed it from a different tractor with no problems. The book shows no "plug" to relieve air.
