Tach part needed

I have an IH 364 diesel with the BD154 engine. It still has the factory tach which quit at 290 hours years ago. The problem is the little right angle type gearbox at the engine block that the tach cable goes into. Does anyone have one of these used they would part with? By the way, the tach actually swings counterclockwise if this matters. Also, what other IH tractors used this same tach/gearbox setup that I could use or is unique to the 364 diesel?

Greg,
I have the same issue with my 444 diesel. The only one I found was brand new at about $75.00, so I'm still looking!

Hi All, bought one for $40 CND from IH dealer several years ago. Always break in the winter when moisture in cable freezes.

Same part is on B414D,434D,444D,384D.

David, from what I've been told, your 444 and my 364 are very similar. Probably use the exact same little gearbox. Does your tach rotate CCW also? Do you happen to know the IH part# for this? Also, do you know for sure which model IH's used this same gearbox? I just figure if I have the OEM part# and know which models used it, it will help in my search. Sounds like you've been looking for a while so maybe you'll know. If I can find more than one, I'll let you know. I just feel naked without a tach. If nothing else, I like to know my hours between service intervals. Thanks for any help.
