I've had a barn fresh S-AV , motor turns over, has good compression, working on the mag and carb right now. It is pretty straight, and I don't think it has many hours because there is ZERO play in the pedals, I mean they are nice, but what is even better is the steering. I know you can buy new steering shaft bushings, but I think the is original...anyway, it has almost NO play, and the front end is VERY tight, and the tie rods are very nice. Perhaps the tightest original steering IH I have ever felt...so, do you guys think I can do better parting it out, or selling out right? I know those good frontends like that must bring something...what do you all think?...thanks...

I would not part that one out ! If I am not mistaken The A-V's are extremely rare and difficult to find. It is virtually the same tractor as the super (a) which means if you parted it out most and or all parts would be interchangable with the A,B,Bn and Super (a), All of these parts are still extremely available and not hard to find. What makes your tractor valuable is the fact that the av,s had a very low production number. I cant say exactly what it is worth to sell, But I would reasearch it further beffore putting a price tag on it. I am far from a farmall expert so I am sure if any of my information is wrong one of the pros will correct me.

i sure would not part it out as it is worth at least 2000 as S-AVs are hard to find. Your location mite not be a good place to sell but put it on the adds with the pic or even on e-bay.
