What is the fair value for a '62 Farmall 504 w/working TA, 3pt, & narrow front? Mechanically good (engine overhauled just before retirement from farming) w/good sheetmetal but surface rust. 1 rear tire good, rest fair.

I just bought one for $2300 with a loader..... ...Runs out nice and the T/A works..... ..Although it doesn't have a 2pt or 3pt hitch, just a straight drawbar.

I think I paid just a tad too much, although I have people tell me it was a deal?????

I'd gladly pay you what you have in it. Buy a three point adaptor and you have a tractor others have paid double for.

TP has a record of being cheap -- but it sure works for him. Not the 1st time it's happened. $2300 for a tractor with working TA, live hyd and pto? Wish I could find one!

One of my better buys was a F504 w/loader for $1450. It was at a going out of business sale of a small IH dealer in eastern Mass. The first fifteen years of the tractor's life was spent moving laundry around a state hospital. It has FH, IPTO, TA, PS, and fenders. The dealer bought it at auction and set it up with the loader and pallet forks. He used it to unload trucks delivering Cub Cadets for twenty years. The tractor was very tight and in perfect condition. I had no intention of buying it. Just wanted to help the dealer by raising bids to somewhere near its value. I was shocked but pleased when the hammer fell after about five bids.
