Trying to get the A started for the first time since last fall. Turning over good, but doesn;t even try to fire. I'm going out now for new points, plugs, ect. I'm also gonna look for a carb kit (Zenith). The thing is, gas is dripping from the bottom of carb, but plugs are dry as a bone! Any ideas? BTW, it's a '46 A.
Thanks....Stan (and yes,I'll get the rest of the manuals soon!)

I got her going last night. Put in points, plugs, rotor, and cap. Still don't understand why plugs weren't wet when she was flooding? They didn't have the carb kit, so I'll have to get to that later. Thanks for all the help, I'll have to work on that needle valve!
PS: Cap from TSC doesn't fit very well, but it'll do until I find a better one! Thanks again...Stan

glad to hear that you got it going.have been working on a W-4.have had that same problem.it won't hurt your engine to throw in a pint of atf or 2 cycle oil to help clean up the carb.it might smoke a little, but that's ok.one other thing that i found is that if the plumbing is'nt sealed good between the carb and the intake manifold,it has trouble drawing the fuel/air mixture into the cylinder.found out the hard way that when you put in new manifold gaskets, mating surfaces have to be spotless.threw that in just in case you ever have to go that far with it.

Mine done the same thing just this week. I think the float or needles are hanging up. I tapped real hard on the side of the carb and let it set till the next day and went out and it started right up

It ran when you shut it down last fall and now gas is running out of the carb sounds like it is flooded. Open throttle and crank it over or best yet give it a pull.
