I have not gotten my manual yet and the shifting order is not molded in the platform like my C. So does anyone have a diagram or tell me what the order is. Thanks for all the help

The point is moot now that seventeen people have replied with the actual shifting order, but couldn't you have just put it in gear and carefully let out the clutch? Once you figured out the difference between forward and reverse, you could maneuver the tractor out on the road and try the various gears, easily discovering which gear is slowest and which is fastest?

Ya, it does seem like an eight year old could figure out the shift pattern in less than five minutes. However, in this day and age, there are mature adults who have never driven a sliding gear tranny and are intimidated by the whole concept. Kids don't have that problem.

The situation is somewhat similar vis-a-vis computers.

I guess it would help if my tractor was running. Trust that is what I would do if it was running, but I guess you couldnt figure that out

It is

R 2 4
1 3 5

Reverse is upper left. 1st is lower left. 2nd is upper middel. 34d is lower middle. 4th upper right. And 5th is lower right.

Which seems to me to be perfectly logical. As a small child I learned to drive on Farmalls, and, trusting soul, it never occured to me that anyone would lay them out any differently. Wm
