I came across an old IH truck on a Farm. The truck looks very old and still had the serial tag on it. The serial number or model number was A2-136WB and after the number had 1 and half ton stamped beside the model number. This truck had an old rock crusher mounted to the rear frame. What year model was this truck? I have never seen one this old before.

The A-2 was introduced in 1931 as a 1.5 ton with a single speed rear axle. Duals were optional. It has a Waukesha four cylinder, 186c.i., 21 rated hp and 39 gross, 120 foot pounds of torque @1000 rpm. They were made through 1934.

Thanks for the reply. I just thought it was a cool piece of history that I was curious about.

Woah.. don't let it go to waste. Post the location and maybe we'll see if it can be rescued.

The truck is in SC and dont even know if it can be bought. It is on a 6500 acre farm which has lots of history. The truck is in pretty bad shape. The antique rock crusher mounted on the rear frame is probally good. The hood on the truck is missing and fenders in rough shape. It looks like the truck was parked back in the 70s.
