I just did an out of frame engine overhaul on my 560 gas that I bought used. No prior experience with this tractor. Did not remove the center clutch housing, but did look at the torque amplifier assembly through the openings in the housing. Everything looked good. I replaced the throw-out bearing and it would turn one way. I would guess the rollers act as a one-way clutch and this would be normal? However, now that the tractor is now all back together, it goes the same speed with the torque amplifier lever forward or back. The linkage is adjusted properly and I am SURE the torque amplifier clutch is disengaging. You can see it through the top inspection plate. What could possibly be wrong?

If you are sensing speed in first gear and low throttle, you may not notice the difference. Run in fifth low and then shift TA to high range. You will pick up about 4-5 mph

Thanks, we have three 560's and a 340. I will give it a test in the higher gears but this seems different than the other TAs.

I would have to say that a linlage adjustment is in order as it is not releasing the T/A clutch .
