All I have is a A and B service manual, as IH didn't make a separate one for the Super A, C, etc. The Zenith float setting for the A and B is 1 5/32" from the gasket to the top (originally the bottom) of the float with the throttle body upside down. The fuel level is supposed to be 15/32-17/32 below the gasket. Otherwise, I agree with Gary.

Bill,
I've looked through my information and can't come up with an exact setting for you, but I don't think it is that critical.
If you can mount the carb back on the tractor with the bottom bowl left off, adjust the float until the float shuts the fuel flow off without the float touching the carb at the top.
Work the float up and down with your fingers to make sure it shuts off every time without touching the carb body.
To the purist, this is not the way it's done, but it works and I have done it several times on my Farmalls and Fords.

Hope this helps, but of course it didn't answer your question.
Gary

Guys,

I measured mine as 1-3/16", so I think I'll leave it alone. I don't think this carb has ever been apart, and it was clean inside. The SC seemed like it was running a little rich, that's why I wanted to check the float level.

Thanks,
Bill
