F-4 mag question

Some time ago there was a post here about F-4 mags, to the effect that there were two different models, one that was about 3/4" longer than the other. I have an engine that needs the longer one, I have a regular one on there and I had to extend the engine mag coupling out about 3/4" with bolts to make it work. I just thought that there was a fiber bushing of some kind that went in there, I didn't realize that there were two different type F-4 mags. Does anyone have one of the longer ones that they would part with? I'll give you the one I have in partial trade if you want, it's not pretty but it does fire and run the engine. Thanks, Brian

I am looking for a complete F-4 Magneto for a F-20 tractor. I don't know if it requires a long or short magneto housing. There was no mag on the tractor when I purchased it.
Also am looking for rear rims for the F-20. Have heard there is an after market rim that I can weld spokes to.

Thanks for any help.

Dale

If Nebraska Cowman doesn't have one for you I might have.

you don't need a longer mag brian, just a longer drive. the front half comes off the governor shaft and replace with one 3/4 longer. I'm sure I have what you need.

Thanks for the replies guys, I was kind of hoping to put the right mag on it to keep the restoration police happy, but if I can't find one anywhere else I will write you back and we can dicker about your replacement shaft. Thanks again.... Brian
