I have a great running 263 that came out of a cotton picker, and have been toying with the idea of trying to stuff it into an M. I know I would have to get the hood "streched", but I wonder about the clutch, the rear engine plate(bolt allignment), and if the radiator would keep it cool. I realize I would have to change the front engine cover and manifold also. Any insights???

Would be easier to put it in an H!! It bolts right in the H!!! You would need a some 560 parts to retro fit it. rear engine plate, and possibly the 560 flywheel, or what matches the spacing from the back of the engine plate, to the starter ring to use the stock starter from the M. I have some good pics of a 263 in an H, I turned it into a 460, and will pull it in light open classes. Look in the photo archives under farmall 460 puller, and you will find my little toy. ChadS
