took the Farmall M up on the hill, moved feed bunks and rolled up the fence for plowday. then I hooked onto my old 2 shank ripper. it was all the M could handle and the dirt comes up in chunks. Hope we get a little rain before saturday.

Buddy just tore the tonge out of his ripper. No sign of moisture in alfalfa field. Sat. morning--I "think" we got a trace of rain last night, hard to tell. No hope for more. Bad, bad, bad.

We are getting rain today in eastern NE. Are you getting any out west? The light brackets I got from you awhile back were just what I needed. Thanks!

We've been getting a good rain all day here in north central Nebraska. Usually kind of light, but sometimes it's really coming down. I'd guess at least an inch or better. For sure it's appreciated- hope it's just the start of a "wet spring"... To keep this "on topic", dad just finished yesterday pulling the "cowchip harrow" over all of our best hay valley busting up chips and scattering them for fertilizer. I've been going behind him a couple days later with our gopher-poison drill pulled with an IH 484 deisel...ground sure is dry- the black smoke rolls out of that little 3-cylinder when I'm drilling...sure be alot more fun on doing it on an M or MD!

I have heard that you guys are still hurting from being so dry last year. They say that we are just 3-4 inches behind after getting quite a bit of snow this winter. It could be more since the sloughs are drying up and the springs are not running. Now that you have plans to do some plowing, hopefully you are getting a shower or two this weekend.
