I have a SA with water ballast in the rear tires. It is pure water ( no chorides ). Can one remove the water by simply removing the valve stem and letting it drain out? I assume some will remain but I would think it would be less than 10%?

When the water starts to slow down coming out just reinflate tire and let it drain again it will blow about all of it out if you want all of it out I saw a fellow that had a straw that fit the hole snug and inserted it down near the bottom of the tire and it got about all of it out the tire stores use a deflater which will get all of it out

Make sure the valve stem is at the bottom of the tire.

You can certainly drain water from tires by opening the valve stems and letting it drain, but why are you removing it?

If its pure water, He can't do a thing with the tractor below 32 degrees; the tube won't last with ice in it.

Also, if he's restoring just to show, It'll be a lot lighter to haul without water in it. And if he's pulling it, he can put the weight right where it'll do the most good, and possibly get into a lighter weight class at the same time.
