How "rare" is a two bottom one point hitch plow with the larger point(not a Cub)? Don't think I've seen many two bottoms but a few one bottoms with the one point. Thanks for any info!

FH: The one point 2 bottom plow is quite common with the large hitch fork for SA, 100, 130 and 140. I have a plow book that shows two different models and neither are the same as the one I have, so there must have been at least three models. I doubt if there are a lot of them floating around for sale. Seem like the only time you ever see them is for sale with a tractor.

I saw one at an auction one day, I hadn't bothered to register as I wasn't too well equiped for taking anythig home that day. It went for $25. and two weeks later one of these guys that specializes in used small equipment had it advertized for $375. Live and learn.

I doubt if there was ever a 2 bottom for the Cub.

Thanks, Hugh! I've used the one bottom on a 140, it did okay, thought the 2 bottom 'might' be a load in tough ground. Yes, a 2 bottom on a Cub would be a stretch. Thanks again.

FH: You have made a good accessment on the two bottom plow. They work very well in lighter soils. 2x12 is how I have mine set. The model I have is adjustable 10, 11, 12 or 14 inch cut. I also find in heavy clay the plow is just about all my 130 can pull. I have put my wheel chains on in heavy clay. I have 12.4x24 tires on the rear with one set of wheel weights. I also have a single bottom plow with 16" bottom. It pulls a lot easier.
