Getting ready to put oil pump back in 460 gas and cant find gasket in kit. Do I need gasket between oil pump body and block ? I was sure I saw one in with gaskets. Also do I need to prime the pump ? and wont the oil just run back out if I do ? Thanks for the help .

Think it is the same as on my SMTA, no gasket under the pump. You don't need to prime it.

I always pack a new pump with vasoline..... It allows it to immediately pull oil up into the pump and is thin enough to disolve in the oil once warm.

As far as the gasket goes, get some of the permatex "form a gasket" and put a bead on the mating surface. You don't want a leak if the mating surfaces are not perfectly flat.
