I have a 400 Farmall gas in below average condition, needs quite a bit of work, but it runs good. How much could this be worth? Thanks.

MJ and OLD, I was just curious of which state your located in. I have been looking for a fixer upper 400 or 450 Farmall in my area with no luck and I was just curious since they seem to be harder to find in my area.

Thanks, Ray in Pa.

There seems to be quite big price range on 400's
You would be hard pressed to find one for less than $3000 around here. Thats running good with fair tires.
I paid $1750 for mine with a loader. But I got $3000 in it any way after fixing it.

It is hard to say. I paid $1200 for a 450 with power steering and a fast hitch. The sheet metal was really strait and in plain cloths. Tires were probably about 25% and the engine was partially tore down. It was a pig in a poke, so I looked it over real close. I got it running pretty cheap.

Last year i bought a 400 no ps, no fh for $1700. The engine is real sound on this tractor and the tires are real good and it had fenders. The sheet metal is real rough though.

Both were in the Ohio area. Hope this helps.

Well we just bought a 450 that all we did to get it to run was tune it up and we payed $300 for it. Not saying yours isn't worth more just telling you the low price, in my area they go for any where from the $300-$3500 depending on tires and if its a trike or wide front end, etc

This is pretty straight on the tin and the tires are probably 25%. Runs good. Will need work down the road. Wide front. I guess what I am hearing is about what I was thinking.

The wide front makes it worth a lot more but the bad tires less I'd guess around $1500-2500 but probably closer the the bottom of that. Go to my web site and you can see a few on my toys
