Just purchased a 706 at a local auction. Currently, the tractor has only a 1000 PTO. Needs to be converted to a 540. Is it easier to find the parts needed for this conversion if I only want a single 540 PTO, or should I be looking for a dual PTO set-up? I don't need the 1000, but I want to have the 540 installed as cheaply as possible. Any thoughts? Also, if anyone has what I need in NE PA, let me know where and how much. Also looking for a wide front for the same tractor. Thanks!

I know where there is an 806 with the parts you need about an hour south of Wheeling WV on the Ohio side of the river. Let me know if you want the #.

Thanks Carp.
My brother has a line on a parts tractor closer to home. I will get back to you if it falls through though.

Matt, I just noticed that you said 706. I thought you said 766. Don't think what I have will work for you but the offer still stands if you can use it.

I don't comprehend the writen word well on Mondays.

Mitch

You didn't buy that tractor at Fraleys did you? A 706G with one remote, nf, clam shells, and a 1000 only shaft on it?????

I almost bid on it, but didn't.

Actually, my brother bought it, and I am gathering info for him on converting the PTO. This is the one from Fraley's. It sat in the second row over by the office.
Nice weather for that auction, wasn't it?

Matt,

I'm not in your neck of the woods, but I may be able to help. I have a 1066 parts tractor with a working 540/1000 pto and a wide front end. E-mail me if you are interested.

Mitch

Let me take a guess and say that you are from Misissippi? I wonder what shipping would be up to zip 17985? How can I contact you?

HeHe, how'd you guess?

Yep, I'm in north/central Mississippi. I can research the shipping. I used Mr. Dale Frenz last year to truck parts to Ohio. He makes a run down this way several times a year. Hauls tractors and parts both ways. Good guy.

You can reach me several ways. I'll e-mail you with the specifics on what I have and contact info.
