Gettin ready to remove the front off my super A.puttin a upper and lower steering housing on.mine has been welded ran it like that for 3 years,but the thrill of havin that thing break runs through my mind all the time.
1-any thing to look out for while this is apart?
2-what set-up is on them bolts on the rad (dont want to break bolt off)
3-going to replaces rad hoses while in there
4-any help on this project is a BIG THANKS....BOB

If you take that gearbox apart, do something about the keyway fit of the sector gear to the shaft . If the bottom of the shaft where the steering arm goes on is square, consider changing the shaft to the Tapered shaft with key, you will have to change the steering arm also. Check the archives for this subject,lots of info to confuse you.

A good welding job need not be replaced. Do you see any cracks? Was it welded with nickel?

Did you break it originally? If so, were you doing anything you will avoid in the future?

Don't understand "what is setup on them bolts", do you mean the bolts holding the radiator core to the lower tank?
