Extremely new to antique tractor restoration. Just obtained a 154 lo-boy and do not know if the original was a 6 or 12v system. Any help? thanx

The numbered series lo-boys were 12 volt. The switch to 12 volt came in 1964 I believe.

According to Guy Fay's Tractor Data Book they originally came with a 6 volt battery. To my knowledge all of the 6 volt systems were positive ground. Once they have been converted to 12 volt they were usually also converted to negative ground.
