I found a Farmall C, around 1952 or 1953, for sale. It is a white demostrator model but has been hand painted Red by the dealership. It is well used. Gas tank is dented and full of sand. Needs a number of items to bring it back to life, including maybe a blast of electricity to the heart. It is stuck.

The guy wants 1500 dollars for it. Tell me it is not worth it. I figure maybe 500 dollars or 450 even.

Any suggestions on value? Are white tractors worth that much if they've been pounded. This tractor needs much work and parts.

Thanks,

Scott

White demo's were made in Jan, Feb, and March of 1950. Chassis serials were 47010-54411. Any thing else is a fake. If the one you describe has the correct serial number, it is still a $300 tractor.

In addition, I believe the demonstrators were only built in 1950 for a short time.

The C was only made until 1951. A C will have a 5 digit serial number while a Super C will have a 6 digit number. I don't believe any of the Super C's were ever painted white as a demonstrator. The Super C's were made from 1951 thru 1954. I believe that some confusion can exist if a person might be looking at a white primer thinking that it was the original finish coat. There is no real way to guarantee that it was a factory demonstrator.
