What is the difference between an FC and a Super C. My FC seems to have all the same parts as a Super C (bent pedals, waterpump, C123, etc.), and I can't figure out what the difference is. Any help?

An FC is just a Super C with no decals on the hood, so the owner looks at the serial number plate and mistakenly assumes that the FC means something special.

If you are referring to the FC designation on the serial number plate, there is no difference. IH used the prefix "FC" for the C and Super C. I think the F just stood for "Farmall." The 6-digit serial number is the proof that you have a Super C.

Thanks for the replies. I really didn't think my tractor was anything special, but I am sending it to an auction this weekend and I wanted to be sure I didn't misrepresent it by saying it was a Super C, which is what the hood had on it. I thought maybe the hood had been changed, but everything else on the tractor proved it to be a Super. I thought the data plate would have SC on it or something.
Thanks again for the help.
