Can someone give me a run down of motors that will fit in a "C" or Super "C" ie; which models like 404 or 504, combines? whats the biggest cubes you can put in a "C" frame with little on no modifacations

the motor from a 203 combine seems to be popular for this application. it's a c-153, the same as a 504, except the combine engine will need to be machined for the pilot bearing.

I don't know what engine is in a 203 combine, but don't you mean 404 instead of 504? The 404 has a C135, very similar to the 113/123.

CNKS: This is about the 3rd time I've raised this same question. I know the C-113, C-123 and C-135 will interchange as long as the C-135 has the right crank for the pilot bushing. My Farmall 504 gas with the C-153 was clearly designed to be suspended at front by the block spacers going to the side chanels. I've never been up close on a 504 Utility but suspect the block and front end to be much the same as 300 and 350 Utilities, and there is no way that would bolt up to a SA, SC, etc. Looks like we aren't going to get answers this time either.

Randy: On that C-153 are there any problems bolting the front end of a C, SC or SA for that matter to the engine. I had a 504 gas and it wasn't anything like the C-113, C-123 or C135 on the front of the engine. I guess it could use a different front cover. Just curious. My 504 was bought new by my neighbor so I know it was the original engine. Now it has been a few years so maybe, I am forgetting something.
