Super MTA Hydraulics Question

Guys (and Gals)
You helped me out greatly about 2 weeks ago when I had some electrical questions on our SMTA and I really appreciate it. Now I've got a question or two on the hydraulics. This tractor has a set of remote hydraulic outlets on it and I don't seem to have much if any pressure to them. They did work ok in the past and I sort of suspect the 2-way valve mounted on the side, but that is just a guess. Does anybody have a cutaway diagram of that vintage of IH 2-wy Hydraulic Valve? Before I tear into this thing I'd like to know what to expect. I am wondering if the O-rings are bad in the valve or if my problems are pump or bypass related. I'd also appreciate a schematic on a typical hydraulic setup on a Super M if anybody has one. Once again, I really appreciate any input you folks might have.
Thanks Again
Bob F.

The If this is the old "christmas tree" type 2 way valve, it only has one o ring near the top and think that is for leakage. Just replaced the one on my SMTA with a 2 spool regular valve as it didn't seem to work well with another valve in series. The plumbing on mine was< I assume the original. The pressure line from pump goes to a T on the inlet of the 2 way valve, then other side of t to top port of Liftall. Return from liftall goes to T on out side of 2 way valve then on to pump. As mentioned the liftall lever must be locked back. If you want to use the lift all valve you lock the 2 way valve, back I think. I changed mine so that now the pressure side of pump goes to a 2 spool valve inlet. OUtlet of valve goes to pressure side of liftall(top port). return to pump. With this setup liftall lever is foreward instead of locked back.

Bob - Is the Liftall lever pulled all the way back and latched? It's the lever sticking out of the right side of the hydraulic reservoir.

The Liftall lever must be in the full back position for the remote 4 way valve to receive pressure.

Bob Don't think that valves has any o rings that are goung to help you any. most spool valves are steel to steel slip fit to direct the oil that is why after a lot of use they do not hold a load. I think you either need new pump or new relief valve.

Did you let your hydraulic oil level get low and get air in system? If so you will have to bleed the air out to get it towork.
