F20 carb was pouring gas out so I decided to rebiuld it. Bead blasted it and clead all the passages and installed a new kit hoping to fix the problem. Put it back on the tractor and the same thing occurs. It acts like a sunk float but its not the case. Float is good and doesnt seem to be hung up. Float height is good @ 1 50/64. Now the tractor is on steel and has parade rings on the back giving it a "raked" angle nose down. Could this affect the float level??. I removed the choke housing to see where the gas was coming from and it was the main nozzle. THis thing wont start cause I think it just floads out and when I do get lucky enough to get it to fire it wont stay running long. Any ideas.

I had a F12 that did somthing like your F20 is doing . It turned out that the float was touching the side of the float bowel and geting caught at the bottom of it's travel. I had to ajust the legs that hold the float pivot pin now it works fine and only cost one float I didn't need.

I guess i would put the carb on without the bowl and operate the float with my finger and see what happens. These tractors were made to run up and down hill. I assume you put a new float valve in it?
