This Farmall c was running good. I was mowing some pasture and it began to run hard..like mowing a tough patch of weeds. Now it runs like it is pulling hard. clutch in or out, in gear or out. It will crank easily, then immediately runs hard like pulling a load. Any ideas or suggestions as to what might be wrong will be appreciated.
Thanks.
DW

Your touch control (hyd. system) may have went on pressure for some reason, either a valve stuck or linkage is binding. Control lever may have moved to far if it is misadjusted. Could you have moved one of the levers unknowingly?

Did the distributor slip by any chance? It might just be timed slow.

I don't understand the term "running hard". Is the engine running fast or making loud noise or what. Let us know more detail. Dave.

The tractor sounds like it is pulling a heavy load. It won't run long, but cranks real easily.
Unfortunately, the tractor is some miles from here, now, so it'll be a few days before I can investigate further.

Thanks.
