I plan on making an offer on a friend's F-14 with cultivators, am not sure what is a fair price for the tractor but was told by a dealer that the cultivators are worth nothing because nobody wants them. I don't need them either but another friend said I should hang on to them as tractor attachments are getting more valuable. Are they worth anything or not?

that's funny this topic came up. i was discussing my latest purchase (also a F-14) with a friend, and he mentioned he always tries to get at least one implement to go with a tractor he restores. that way the tractor looks like it is actually getting ready to do work instead of being a showroom model. i tend to agree. i think those cultivators would look great hanging off of a restored F-14. i'm looking for a sickle bar mower for mine (mainly because i have a use for one), but any implement would work.

hopefully this thread won't start driving the cost of scrap implements up.

What did you pay for your f-14 and what condition is it? I need advice on how much to offer.

john,

i had a nice long reply i thought i submitted earlier, but it doesn't look like it showed up. to make it short, you can see the pic of the F-14 i bought in my other thread. i paid $200 for it and everything appears to be there and in decent shape. the right brake is frozen, and the engine is stuck. i'm not sure how stuck the engine is, but my plan was to rebuild it anyway, so i knew i'd have that cost going into it.

this a hobby for me and not a business, so most of the fun more me is rebuilding the tractor, or whatever old thing i happen to be working on.
:-)

email me if you have other questions or want to see more detailed pics of something on the tractor.
