Have unstuck my 606 diesel to where it turns freely with a pry bar on the fly wheel. Want to know more about the fuel injecters before I put them back on. Can I test the glo-plug by hooking it to a battery? What else can I look for to ensure that the injecter is working and not faulty? Our intent is to change oil and fuel filters and then give it a try. Are we on the right track? Thanks

the injectors should be taken to a fuel pump shop and put on the stand to test the spray pattern and to see if they are popping off at the proper pressure. to test your glow plugs you hook your test lite to the positave post of your tractors battery and take the probe end and unhook the spade to the glow plug if the test lite lites the glow plug is good hook up the spade wire from wire harness and go to the next glow plug

Johann Now is the best time to check glow plugs, plug one in at a time and hold the button and see that the glow plug gets red hot. Not much you can do to the injecters with a tester to pump up pressure to see when they open and if they leak.
