Hello,
I am trying to find a replacement fan or fan bearing assembly for a Super C. Mine siezed and will only turn with great difficulty. I see archived threads mentioning buying from this site, but I see no fans for the Super C. Any idea where I can get either a whole replacement unit or just the bearing alone? My local Case/IH dealer does not have it.

TIA,

MikeC

Take the assembly to your local machine shop and ask them to put sealed bearings in it. They can use the old unit and should not cost you much. Then you won't have to worry about keeping oil in it.

Most people don't know to oil them. Oil goes in the slot head screw hole in the side and there is a standpipe inside that hole so you turn it down before putting the dcrew back in to drain the excess oil.

If you stay with the sleeve bearings, DON'T tighten the fan belt too much, or the generator belt or you can cause premature failure of a worn unit.

Is the part NLA from CNH, or can the local dealer get it in a day or two? On some parts, the quality and price of the local CNH dealer are hard to beat.

This is where I bought the one for my Super C last summer. I think it was around $70.
