We have several IH tractors here on the farm, and two have developed the same problem. One is an 826, the other is a 1256. Both lose hyd. pressure if left facing uphill, and they do not get the pressure back for days. the 1256 did it for years until oct. 02 it did it for the last time. I switched the mutli-control valve with a 706 and it hasnt done it since. Does anyone know where the possible problem is? Thought it was the pump but the 1256 had a new pump in it in the middle of the troubles. lost and looking for ideas.

If they both loose Hyd pressure when facing up hill, you may want to see if there is ANY hytran oil left in the housing.

Changing the MCV won't fix it. If the PTO has quit working too, the input shaft splines have sheared off.
