I just brought a 504 home today. The SN is 15941 S-X-7-FF. Can somebody look this up and tell me what the details are.

TIA,

Kirk

Dave ID is correct on the FF & S codes. The X is High Speed Low & Reverse.I believe the Y code means Hyd. power Supply w/ 14 g.p.m. pump. I'm not positive on this one. I took for granted that your 7 was a Z, which means Hyd. Power Supply w/ 17 g.p.m. pump. I'll look tomorrow and post it here. Also, the ser.# says your 504 is a 1966 if it's an IH (utility) or a 1967 if it's a Farmall.

FF- Hydraulic Power Supply with 4.5 gpm pump
S- Ta with provision for 540 Independent PTO
X7- Not given in Guy Fayes Tractor Data Book. Are you sure it is a 7?

It looked like a 7, but the data plate is a little hard to see behind the loader frame. I will check again tomorrow when it is light.

What are some of the possibilities that make sense?

TIA,

Kirk

OK, I was pretty busy yesterday and did not get a chance to look at the tractor.

The 7 was indeed wrong. I should have said Y.

The SN should be 15941 S-X-Y-FF

Thanks,

Kirk

BTW, what year is this machine?
