I think I found a scam on this site, Help!!

And yes I do believe Dan is maybe not paranoid, but over reacting a bit. To begin with everyone selling or buying at YT auction must be registered. YT also keep a history of the dealings of both buyer and seller. At the end of the auction YT puts buyer and seller in touch with each other. They can choose not to do that and call the auction of that item void for a number of reasons, some of which Dan has raised. In this era of communications I see no need for a vendor to include his phone number, in fact very few do. To other item he raised was no reserve bid. In my opinion reserve bid should never be allowed if it is a true auction. If you have a reserve put it in photo classifieds. I think we need not say much about spelling on this site, mine included.

As to the bag of nothing on paper, I was refering to the laws we have in Canada and in the United States stating it is illegal for anyone to use anything they hear on a cell phone for their own advantage. What a usless pair of documents, and how would it ever be policed, particularly if the person never told anyone what he or she heard.

You may think I am rather quick to get upset about items of discussion. I am a frugal man, that has been a necessary part of my survival. I don't need to be frugal anymore, but I am. I don't have to get up anymore at 5 am to milk the cows, but I still rise at 5 am every morning. In the past 14 years I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I was still in bed after 5 am. In my lifetime people have become so free with their money, one can no longer drive a bargain. In the 1950s and 60s you could go into a new car, truck or tractor dealer and bargain as much as 25% off the initial price. You try that today, and they will laugh you right out the door. I could go on and on and on, but I am not going to. I will just say I see some painful days ahead for most of the free world, you can not live indebted to others forever.

I think the very best advice for anyone seeing something on here they think is questionable, the very best think to do is alert Kim through site comments. I assure you, Dan and Dick, Kim will deal with it very quickly. In my opinion it is her call, and not ours to be on here shouting about it. I can further assure you, you will receive a nice thank you from her. However, never tell her what to do, just suggest she may want to investigate.

Where I come from most folks learned by the time they were 12 years old what a scam is, and how to spot one. The very best thing in the world is just ignor them. So if anyone is prepared to bid on or buy a tractor sight unseen, there is nothing you or I or anyone else can do to help him. Remember the old saying,"A fool and his money are soon parted."
