I have found a Super C model FC and i am in the proccess of purchasing it. I am wondering if $650.00 is too much for a tractor that has been setting without a hood in the weather for years, the entire tractor is coverd in rust. The exaust and air intake holes have been protected. The brakes are stuck. One of the back tires is flat but the other is new, both front tires are flat. I do not now the condition of the gears or the clutch. This tractor does have a 3 point hitch. The tractor does not start on it's own but i have been told that if you pull start it it will start. Any comments on weather or not i am getting a good deal or ripped off would be appreciated.

Garrison: I think all Farmalls are essentially worth $1000.00. I have a super C that I bought for 700.00 and put 500.00 in and it is still worth $1000.00. This summer I plan on rebuilding the engine and anticipate it will be worth close to $ 1000.00 when I am done. Later I plan on adding a snow blade to it and estimate when I finish the fabrication it will be worth $1000.00. Don't tell my wife or the fun may end.

I have one that is probably worth around $3000-$3500. Problem is I have about $8000 in it. It was my Dad's first tractor so I don't mine since I would never sell it

Of course, everyone is entitled to his opinion, but unless the engine is shot, I can't see calling $650 a rip-off. I wish I could find another Super C for that price around here that was restorable. I've got $2,800 in restoring my Dad's 1952 Super C and would love to do it again.
