i need to replace the oil gear,my tranny had water in it and it froze and i tried moving it. And a fine mechanic on the chat line here, told me what the problem was. And I appreciate it. Now I just need to locate the gear and figure how to replace it. In my International parts catalog it shows it as reference #40 and part # is 354643R11. I appreciate all the help I can get.

Thanks,
John

John: Personally I would go to CaseIH. These parts for old tractors including the parts at CaseIH are being supplied by the after market, probably several sources. Some of these parts are quite crappy. I have run across this with several items, points being the most common. I think there are other suppliers with good parts. If you are in the US, NAPA has a good reputation, here in Canada they don't even want to bother with tractor parts. You will get other advice and I think it depends on where you live. And where I live, is precisely why I say CaseIH.
