Just installed rebuilt tach from Williamson's along with new drive cable from Case/IH dealer. When reving engine to almost full throttle, RPM needle only shows about 700 RPM. If I use drill on distributor end of cable can get up to about rated RPM for drill. Drive gear appears OK and doesn't seem to slip if held with engine running. Any thoughts on this. Is the drive gear metal or plastic and are they still available? Thanks, Paul

One other thing. Does the ratio of the engine RPM to tach drive RPM from the distributor figure out to about a 3:1 ratio? May just need the tach recalibrated. Thanks, Paul
