Our F12 has a very ugly mickey-moused front end adapted to it. We are considering looking for an original and I assume there are a few styles available. It is not essential that it be the same version it was built with. Any input/comments as to pros and cons of the various styles or as to what would be more easily obtainable? Is there a way to find out from serial (or otherwise) what style front end it would have been built with? Thanks!

I don't think IHC kept any records that far back as to what each 12 was shipped with. I'm probably wrong on this but once in a while I get it right! As to replacement front-ends...you should be able to get a tricycle or single wheel front fairly easily. Most any tractor junkyard will have them, at least I know mine does. Wide fronts are another issue all together. Good luck getting one for less than $750, probably more. Seems they're the most desireable types. I saw a junk WF sell for 1300 last weekend and it needed a total rebuild.

Thanks Zak! It has linkage from the brakes to hook up to the front end. Did the tricycle use this also?
