The MW clutch gives the tractor live power to the PTO and the option of a hand or foot clutch making the tractor a lot more practical. If it works I see no reason in the world to remove it. These are not made anymore and should have some decent collector value while also increasing the value of the tractor.

Hey I have a 1939 M in Northern Illinois. I will take it off your friends hands. And I will give you the parts you need to take it back to original

If it works well, He is nuts to want it off. The M&W Clutch makes the tractor much more useful. Why would he want a dead PTO?

the m&w clutch disconnects power to the wheels by creating an open side of the differential thus allowing the pto to stay engaged value if it works well and nothing broke or missing 200-300 but if your doing the labor it should be a wash

The bull pinion gear needs changed also;which
means the bull gear and bull pinion cage need removed. Its possible to move bull gear and axle
through PTO hole without removing top cover. In my opinion its hard to do thatway.Value depends 0n condition.
