My power steering quit on my 1066. I had the hydraulic pump replaced thinking that was the problem but it still doesn't work. I've had this tractor about 10 years, ever since I got it the pto quits while working on a decline with the front end lower than the back. It is full of fluid. Could these two things be linked somehow?

The current problem is getting the "correct" paint. Enviornmental regulations have resulted in formulation changes, meaning the current 2150 CaseIH sells is not the same color they sold 10 years ago. Same with PPG, I don't know about Dupont, etc. I use PPG and have had them change the toners used in the mixing process to get the color I "think" is correct. I'm not fully satisfied yet, but haven't painted for a couple of years -- will try again on my next tractor. The original colors no longer exist.

Had the same problem last spring with my 856. I replaced the power steering pump and went through the control valve assembly. It still didn't work. Then one day it started working on it's owne. I talked to the original owner and he said it happened all the time over the winter months. Just get the nose of the tractor headed down hill and let it sit there and run and it will fix itself. Hope this helps.

It could be two things , one is that the suction tube has a small hole in it or the seal between the T/A housing is sucking air , One cheep fix is put 5 gal more High Tran in and run it over full , If you have a loader on this tractor it can happen when the loader is all the way up.or when you go down hill and the over fill will stop this on both ends.
