I bought a live hydraulic pump for my H off of a 300 farmall and was told it would work, but have come to find out that only late 50 models on up will it interchange with. Now I am left with hydraulic pump that won't work, and a gutted belly pump can anyone tell me where I can find a live hydraulic pump that will mount between the distributor on a 49 model H. I have found some but they are for latter series H,s and super H,s does anyone know where I can find one for older models

Change the cam gear if you change the front covers.
If you don't change it now you will have to change it shortly after you install the live pump. The H gear is soft and it will break running continually against the live pump gear.

2150 and 50 can be custom mixed by PPG/DuPont, etc. The PPG/Dupont codes for IH 50 are 70019/7410. For 2150 they are 71310/96766, Can be crossed to any major paint manufacturer. IH 50 cannot be bought from Case IH, nor can the other two reds from that era, IH 1102B and IH 201. The acrylic enamel mixed as IH 50 may or may not be higher quality than the 2150 CaseIH sells, it will be more expensive and a different shade.
