Which Farmall does the best with a 6' belly mower?

I'll need to take the fast hitch
off my Super C to put a belly mower on it, and I really don't
want to do that. What tractor
would you suggest?

Which is best on fuel?
Which would make the best cut?

Let me know, thanks.

My friend has a pull type (can't remember if 5' or 6'). He pulls it with his C. I got to run it at his place a couple times. I borrowed the same mower and I used my H to pull it. The C handled it alright, but the H handled it so much better. I believe I would recommend an H, but I hate to tell a guy to go buy another tractor for something he could use on a tractor he has already got.

Oh, what a hardship! buying another tractor! Whenever we drive by a lot with a tractor for sale and my head swivels to look at it, before I can say a word, my wife says "You can't have it." :-)

Several places (like Northern Hydraulics) sell tow-behind finish mowers, designed to be towed by ATVs. They even have setups to offset the mowers. Perhaps that is the solution you seek. Just hitch it to the drawbar and mow. The ones I've seen have little mower engines, but perhaps there are rigs to connect to your PTO. I hate to see someone remove a fast-hitch when they don't really seem to want to.

Thanks for the comments Bill.
I'm currently using a 7' bush hog,
but I'd like to use a finish mower
for a better cut. Funny you mention
the H, I've been looking at Super H's.
Don't know if I need it, but I'd like
to have one. If there was a way I could keep the fast hitch on my Super C,
and still use a belly mower, I'd do it.
