My IH624 (D206 diesel) seems to have started an appetite for antifreeze this winter - the problem is there are no leaks to be found anywhere and all other fluid levels (hydraulic and oil) have remained constant? Any ideas lads?

Just guessing here, but could it be possible a bad head gasket is allowing coolant to enter a combustion chamber, and the coolant is evaporating???

Thanks Dave - that was one of my thoughts - but I was wondering whether I would have expected perhaps more "smoke" (white)? None seen so far. Some black (due to poor fuel & a clogged injector) on accleration but none at all under load conditions?
