In taking a look at the Halifax Herald this morning story about last weeks blizzard, A highway tractor and refer trailer that most folks did not know was even there. Completely burried in snow on the side of 4 lane highway. I will not go into story. If you want to look type in The Halifax Herald on your search engine and go to The Newsroom. I just tried it with Google. The 9 hour drive company owner had is less than 40 miles.

I've never seen anything quite like this before. It took the snow plow over 2 hours to make a single pass down our street and I can walk it in 5 minutes. The official total was 38" in 24 hours, quite the storm! I went and did some plowing with my Super A but you really needed something bigger with a loader on it. You had to clear the place to put your snowbank before you started to build the pile. In about 4 hours I managed to cut a 6' wide path about 200 to 300 feet long. Very slow going. Unfortunately my blade wouldn't lift high enough to clear the top of the snow surface. I'll try and post some pics later. SAm in NS

Similar to the storms of 71. At that time I had a 275 with 2 stage blower. You couldn't see the tractor for the snowbanks. My dad said it was funny seeing the snow coming out of nowhere as it exited the chute. That little diesel could throw
the stuff like nobobdy's business and never stalled though at times it wanted to. I don't think a live PTO clutch could have handled it frankly unless it was new.

The driveway to the road (300') looked like an alley way when finished.

Scotty and others: I know the area quite well, highway is going through open farmland at that point. I doubt if there is anywhere road bed is more than 6 to 8 feet above the ditches, and very little above the farmland.
