What I was wondering is there a way to tighten up the governor shaft that hooks to the hand throttle? A bushing or washer it up on the inside? Thanks.

Shaggy, When I tore my govenor apart on my Super A I found the slop on that shaft was a combination of the hole in the cast housing wearing and the shaft was also warn. What I did was make a new shaft and the Z bent lever, getting a nice fit between the shaft and the housing. Some guys have also bored the govenor housing out and pressed in a bushing. While you have the govenor apart you may as well replace the felt seal pressed into the counterbore. Also, my thrust bearings were shot and need to be replaced. I havent done that yet because I got involved with another project. Hope this helps.
