My brother is looking at a 1953 Super M to buy. It is a wide front, 1 loose tie rod, 2 way hydraulic pto driven loader. The rear tires are good, the front tires are bad. Rear cast iron tire weights, as well as concrete tire weights. Sheet metal good, 6 volt. Asking price is $3500 o.b.o. Seem high/low? Any things to watch out for? I have an 8N, so I don't know much about Farmalls.
Thanks,
David

I live in north Central IL. and I saw a pretty nice 53 Super M go for 6800! with nothing but the tractor. Good rubber and all but WOW!

$3500 is pretty high for that rig. Concrete weights sounds like someone was doing some heavy duty lifting. A hydraulic pump on the PTO is primitive. It would have to be in darn good shape for me to go $2000.

$3,500 is just about twice the amount I would be willing to pay.

Thanks for all of the quick responses! Does anyone now where/how much a tie rod end goes for?
Please keep the advice coming.
David
