Well its a Farmall 450, spent the day playing with it, put in a tune up aired the tires up and hot wired it and then drove it home. Runs very well for a tractor that onlt cost $300.

At this point I find myself wondering if it has a front loader and back blade.

Score old! Don't rub it in too much. Your success will give me a good come back when it comes time to bargan for my own 450; "...why I know of a man who paid only $300 for a 450 not one bit better than this one!" Sounds good

Jared, If your lookin for a 400, the farm across the valley has one for sale with a mower. East Wells,Vt dont know what they are asking but it comes with a mower but it is a narrow front and mine arent big enough to ride it these Vt hills!
I will ask if you want.

It has a 2 point hitch and power steering, also a front end loader and a back blade. The back blade looks almost new. The wireing is a night mare but thats no big deal.

Old, Congrats on becomming the proud owner of a 450 regardless of price. Although, I must say that it appears you recognized a bargain and did not tarry or dilly dally, but teemed at the chance. Three more comments...Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy.

Well it not going to be my machine but a friends, it started out as a way to make some money but after I played with it I have got the guy to believe he should keep it. I already have a very nice show room shape 450 any how. Oh by the way its a wide front end and also has a loader and back blade on it.

old: Good show, it matters not whether it be private deal or an auction, when you stumble on them for that money they are gems. Just think what you may have paid if you went looking for a 450.
