I was reading about the x-codes after the serial # on the farmall H in A Guy Fay book. My question is did all H's have A code after the serial # ? Thanks

I think maybe after so many were shipped say with rubber tires, electric starting and lighting, they stopped using them.I dont know.I do know that my uncle has amd M that was shipped from the factory with the mentioned items plus a swinging drawbar with just the serial number,no X codes at all,his is a 1951.Maybe Guy can help clarify.I wondered the same thing myself on the Farmalls in general.

The early distillate tractors did not have an X suffix. I had a 40 H, and it just had the ser. number
