What year / model did they start using the tall fuel cap? I am not talking about the triple baffle pressure caps you see now but the old single baffle tall cap.

that is a hard question to answer,if you take a short cap into a case/ih dealer i think they will trade it for a tall cap yet.1966 1206 still had the short cap on them.

Those caps are fitted to my 53 SWD6 & 56 W400.

I remember the 300/400's always had the tall cap. Don't think any older ones did. Guess that would be about 1955.
