What is the wt. of Hy-tran? The reason I am asking, I am rebuilding my hydraulic cylinder I use with my Farmall H and am thinking of running hy-Tran or Ambra instead of 30 wt. non-det. in my Farmall H Lift-All so everything would be compatable with my other tractor. I just put new Ambra multi G 134 nh 410B (Ford Brand) in my Ford 5600, I figure Hy -Tran must be compatable with Hy-guard (John Deere), Ambra (Ford) . Or maybe I should just stick with Hy-Trans or 30 wt. non-det. in my Farmall H lift-all and keep a seperate Hydraulic cylinder to just use with it? Thanks!!

I buy it at a local farm store (Gebo's) and it comes from a refinery in Okla. On the back of the bucket are specs for almost every tractor imaginable....meaning they must all be pretty much the same. And as I recall the weight is about 15w.

I use Hy-Tran in my Farmall H liftall with no problems. And I have the old pump that only puts out 450 psi max when new...

No problems at all, use whatever you are using in your other tractors.

According to my local farm cooperative, hy tran and Hy guard have the same specs. They have their own oil called Quicklift. Several years ago when I overhauled the TA on my SMTA I replaed the transmission oil with a hy tran equivelent on advice from here. I use that same oil in my hydraulics. I also use it in my JD430 and MT hydraulics. Seems to work well.
