Does anyone know if a super A would be able to handle a 7 ft. disc and a 2 bottom plow ( both fast hitch)that I currently use on my super C ? I realize I would need to convert the 2 points to one.

Thanks

Dave

My opinion, the 2 bottom plow and the 7 ft disk are too much for the Super A. Usual for a super A is a 4 or 5 ft single gang disk and a one bottom 14 in or 16 inch plow. There was a one point fast hitch two bottom plow for the 140, but I think it was 12 inch bottoms. Also the 140 has more power than the Super A. And, I agree with the others, shame to cut up the good 2 point fast hitch implements.

Paul: I have one of those single point fast hitch 2x12 plows, and I don't see a lot of difference plowing with any of SA, 130 or 140. I run out of traction before power. My Super A has 9.5x24 with no weight solid or liquid. 130 has 12.4x24 with wheel weights and 140 has 11.2x24 with chloride. The 130 and 140 do the best but under ideal traction conditions the Super A does just as well. In real tough going I would take 130 over the other two.

could you build an adapter to slide on the 2pt to hook it to the 1pt? Don't know about the plow, might be able to disk, if you don't pick up the tractor instead of the implement, or worse snap an axle trying.

Scot: You do have a good suggestion as the frames of those two plows are the same. The only part different is the pull beam and it is interchangable, so he could make up a single point fast hitch pull beam for the plow without destroying the 2 point pull beam.

As far as picking up plow or disk I wouldn't worry about breaking anything as Super A will not lift that much. I have a single point 6' S tine cultivator I fabricated, 18 teeth on three tool bars. I did intend building or buying a crumbler. I now have 6.5' heavy angle iron with chains on each end to pull it for leveling and crumbling. When I leave field I throw the heavy angle on top of the cultivator. I have to place this quite close to hitch point or these little tractors will not lift the cultivator.

I also have a 60 gallon sprayer, with 20' boom. I fabricated the mounting so weight is as close to tractor as possible. If that sprayer is full, I have to push on hydraulic lever then lift by hand on sprayer. These tractors will lift it with my hand help. However I do have concerns re the strength of hitch linkage so I use two chains to carry weight while spraying.

Super C and 200 using a remote cylinder for the hitch will lift substancially more than the Super A, 100, 130 or 140 with the touch control rockshaft. These little tractors fall down on lift quite quickly when the weight is back 3' or 4' from hitch point.

Not real familiar with the ability of these ones, I have a BN, and we had a cub that we had long enough to get it running before trading it for parts for the b

David: I agree with the others, it is a shame to cut up the 2 point equipment. I will also agree it is great to yell that, but try and find someone willing to pay you enough for the 2 point equipment so the money will buy 1 point in as good condition. I have bought 2 point implements with the large fork just for the forks and scraped the rest. Sure people want them, but they want them for nothing.

Beyond that the 1 point 2 bottom plow for SA, 100, 130 and 140 are 12 inch bottoms, whereas your plow is likely 2x14. Depending on your plow frame and bottoms you may be able to change it to 2x12. The Super A will not likely pickup the 7 foot disk with it's 1 point fast hitch, and if the disk is in good shape it will not pull it anyway. The other item you will run into in converting these is SC and 200 use the small fork for fast hitch, and single point on SA, 100, 130 and 140 are large fork.

I dont think that the Super A would handle the two bottom plow unless it was in the right type of soil. If the ground had been worked before it may handle the two bottom. I agree, I would not cut up a 2-point attachment, they are hard to find and they aint making anymore of them!
The disk harrow would not work the tractor as hard as the bottom plow and would probally work on the A. Just my 2 cents worth.

Not sure if I know the answer to that one.

But if there's any way you can avoid it, please don't cut up a 2 point implement. They're too hard to find the way it is. Sell the ones you have and buy a 1 point.

Thanks and good luck.
