Guys - - Have a '36 F-20 with 38" tires on the back, and like many survivors, its appearance "runs down hill". Is there an easy way of raising the front of the tractor to get it level again, short of replacing wheels & tires on either end? Seems I've heard of it being done with a spacer somewhere, but haven't been able to figure out how it is done. Many thanx !

The F-20s that came from the factory with steel or 24" rubber had a shorter spindle shaft than the ones equiped with 36 or 38 inch tires. Those tractors had a longer shaft with a spacer at the bottom of the bolster. I would try to find a salvage tractor with the longer shaft and spacer and swap parts.

Just guessing that at one time there was a kit to do this with. If so, not sure if would still be available. Mine has the extension, but haven't looked at it close enough to see if it was a homemade jobby or not.

yup, you just cut the shaft and add in 4 inches or so. then put a spacer on the same length. cut the shaft up in the bolster a ways where there is not much strain on it. or if you live closeby I probibly have one all ready.
